Speech therapy in Montreal
Services offered in French only
Our services are delivered in French
Orthophonie Montréal is a speech-language pathology clinic in Mont-Royal, Montreal, specializing in voice disorders and voice harmonization — feminization, masculinization and androgynous voice.
Assessment and therapy are conducted in French only, both at our office and online. We do not currently offer services in English.
Voice work depends almost entirely on precise verbal feedback, on nuance, and on the client being able to speak freely about how they experience their own voice. Delivering that in a language the clinician does not practise in would lower the quality of care. That is why we are explicit about it rather than accommodating partially.
If you are comfortable being assessed and treated in French, you are welcome to contact us.
What we treat
- Voice disorders — functional dysphonia, vocal strain and fatigue, follow-up after vocal fold lesions, dysphonia of neurological origin.
- Voice harmonization — voice feminization, masculinization and androgynous voice for trans and non-binary people, including preparation for and rehabilitation after voice surgery.
- Professional voice use — teaching, singing, acting, broadcasting.
- Orofacial myofunctional disorders — atypical swallowing, tongue thrust.
- Oral and written language — children, adolescents and adults.
